So, Why A Blog???

I have lived in Kansas all my life. Growing up, I never hated living in Kansas (although I will admit I did hate all those crazy tornadoes and storms). As a kid I remember thinking how BORING Kansas was though, especially when I went on family vacations to other states like Colorado, Maryland, and Texas. To me back then, those states were exciting and Kansas was well, flat.

Little did I know how many special treasures this state has. I have recently began to discover some of those treasures and it has developed within me a passion for this amazing state.

The idea for a blog was brought to my mind after a friend asked me how and where I find out about all the Kansas adventures I go on. She told me that she didn't realize Kansas was so full of adventures, and she'd love to know about them. Thus this blog is born.

This blog will consist of posts about the wonderful state of KANSAS. Places to see. Places to eat. Maybe a few recipes here and there. Anything and everything that has to do with KANSAS.

I hope you enjoy the ride with me. Maybe even make some of your own memories in the state of Kansas.
