Be warned, this is Spring Break for me, so there will be many posts this week that include food. There's no calories during Spring Break, right?
I've been hearing about a place called The Barn in Burrton, KS. Burrton is about 35 minutes away from Wichita. It's located right off of Highway 50.

Well, today was the day the family and I visited The Barn. We loaded up after church and took the short drive to Burrton. Upon arriving, I thought the building was adorable, it actually looks like a barn. My favorite part of the building though was the windmill just behind. I love windmills.

The inside of the building was so warm and welcoming. From the mason jar chandelier, to their grain bin that doubled as bar, this place encompasses what Kansas is all about.
Our waitress was a sweetie and when she brought out our drinks in mason jars, I was over the moon. In my book, everything tastes better in a mason jar.
The food was the best part of the trip. I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken and it was amazing. We also brought home a piece of Peanut Butter Pie which was delectable.
The Barn has amazing food, a wonderful atmosphere, and down home friendly service. I loved everything about it. Can't wait to go again!
